Djurgården (The Royal Game Park)

The royal hunting grounds of King John the Third who lived in the 1500’s. The whole island is a beautiful national park. Definitely warrants a couple hours midday nature stroll or a few museum visits.

⚓️ Vasa Museum

The colloquially known by some as the Museum of Failure. The story of King Vasa and the massive faulty warship he had built in the 1600’s and pulled out of the river into the museum in the 1960’s.

Östermalm (the eastern part of the city)

The wealthy part of town.

👠 Biblioteksgatan

Literally the most expensive street in sweden. High end shopping can be had here.

🍄 Svampen (Stureplan)

Hot/fancy club area with expensive drinking and a noticably larger ratio of shallow obnoxious people who never really figured out self-reflection.

Look I’m just sayin. If you wanna go to status clubs this is the place 😄

Centralen (or T-Centralen (Central town))

Have a casual beer with a very uncasual sandwich.

Unassuming but tasty ramen. Also one on the south island

Vasastan (Town of (King) Vasa)

Great area for good eats

Crazy interior. Nice loud spot to shout over a beer with the locals

🍱 Itamae Izakaya

Tiny but delicious but chill/neighborhood sushi spot.

🍣 Sushi Sho

Insane omakase sushi spot. Do not forget to also drink the copious amounts of sake. IF you can get a reservation.

Gamla stan (Old Town)

🍻 Sjätte Tunnan

Weird ass medieval/Viking style basement pub. Often open till early morning hours. Cheap. Order a bottle of the mead wine (super-sweet fermented honey) and enjoy. There’s two entrances, get into the basement for the best vibes.

🫖 Chaikhana

Though not as good as it used to be, waiting tables here was my first job after highschool. Still, if you want a warm cup of tea one afternoon this is the place to go. Slightly overpriced for just the tea but if you ask to talk to the owner, Ashok, he’ll tell you everything there is to know about tea. Let him know I sent you. We’re basically family.

🥩 Flickan

Perhaps one of the best restaurants in the city. 6-10 course dinner with japanese style of preparation of swedish cooking. Pricey. But delicious.

Söder (Södermalm (the southern island))

The best island.

🥂 Tjoget

Place-to-be kind of spot. Loud and happening. Don't eat here. But there's good wine and attractive people.

Hot and great Asian/sushi spot with good drinks.

Hornstull (The Horn's toll)

Western part of the southern island.

🫒 The Italian Cousins

Grab a couple slices of delicious pizza a glass of wine and enjoy the spring sun beaming on the sidewalk seating.

🌅 Skinnarviksberget

One of the most breathtaking views in Stockholm. Climb up the mountain FROM THE SOUTH. And if you can, go at sunset. Other youths may be there with music/alcohol/weed. Depending on the temperature.

Hornsgatan

Street that runs from west to center of the the southern island.

🍕 Omnipollos Hatt

Craft beer and big pizza pies.

🥃 Indigo

The tiny size of this spot makes no space for assholes. Patrons stay kind making this a small but intimate joint.

Götgatan

Street that runs down the center of the southern island. Some shopping some chill strolling.

🙌🏽 Södra Teatern

Theatre by day, club by night. Good music. good dancing. Hip hop Kareoke on some nights. Also part of a summer beergarden spot right next door.

🍛 Shanti Gossip Nytorget

Small delicious Bangladeshi place for any curry cravings.

🥞 Greasy Spoon

Great cozy brunch spot.

SoFo (South of Folkkungatan)

South-eastern part of the southern island.

🐓 Birdsöder

A good fucking fried chicken samy and more chicken.

🛍 Lucas’ second hand store run

1. Beyond Retro lots of stuff (several locations around town).
2. Judith’s Second Hand for curated second hand women’s.
3. Herr Judith offshoot for men.
4. Humana (two more around town, often with good shit).
5. APLACE Inside the Bruno mall. Part second hand, part high end.

🍷 Fiolii

Cute calm classy wine bar. Great sommilier bartenders. Chic but still casual.

🍹 Himlen

Bar/restaurant at the top of one of the few skyscrapers. A bit overpriced but perhaps the 2nd best view in Stockholm.

🥙 Falloumi

Great falafel wrap to get on the go. I would give you the link to the best falafel but the guy who runs it is an utter asshole and I don’t want to expose you to that toxicity nor support his shitty ways 😄. Get the falafel with halloumi at this spot instead

🍕 800 Grader

Dope little pizza place with New York influences. Beautiful (only) spot to grab a slice and a nice beer/wine

🇸🇪 Pelikan

A little bit pricey but really fucking good if ur open to the traditional Swedish food. Get the meatballs with potato puree and extra gravy (brown sauce).
